    Al-Qattif Business Council considers the Industrial City Project
      and safety of the sea environment
     
     

    Throughout the meeting held recently at the Chamber branch in Al-Qatiff; the Business Council of Al-Qatif discussed the subject of abuse and mistreatment made against the sea environment, calling for protection more safety in this regard.

    The Council discussed some of the procedures that would prevent this mistreatment being done against the sea environment that every now and then, calling for a greater role for the municipal council to maintain such issues...Attendees have agreed to prepare a letter to be submitted to the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs in regard of those damages suffered by the sea environment.
     
    Members have also reviewed some of the negative effects of the absence of rain drainage control in some areas in the province and its economic damage accordingly, Committee decided to hold an extended meeting with affected farmers affected, and submit a letter on their behalf to the concerned authorities to solve the problem.
     
    Furthermore; meeting addressed the subject of the proposal of the industrial city in the province, noting the situation of the industrial city in Al-Awjam city which operates as an industrial city, yet it license for industrial projects suffers from some problems.. Members have agreed to address concerned authorities in the Saudi Industrial Property Authority, and in Al-Qatiff Municipality to resolve this problem.

    Nevertheless; meeting also addressed the topic of opening a branch of the Ministry of Labor in Al-Qattif province, as well as a branch of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and recommend accordingly to follow-up on this, specially after issuing the approval from both ministries.

    Meanwhile, Council members have re-elected the Chamber board member Salman Al-Jishi as the Chairman of the Council, and Dr. Riyadh Al-Mustafa a the Vice-President.
